Ricoh has launched its new flagship A3 printers, the SP C820dn and C821dn which replace the CL7200 and SP C811dn respectively. The C820dn, at 40 pages per minute, and the C821dn, at 50ppm, are faster than the printers they are replacing and boast a range of upgrades including higher resolution, thicker paper support and longer life supplies.
The new machines also come with improved memory and processor speed as well as faster first print and warm up times. Hard disc drives, duplex units and network card all come as standard as do enhanced security features and greater ease of use.
Ricoh is seeking to offer professional output devices at affordable capital and running costs and has aimed the SP C820dn/821dn at general offices and low end print-for-pay environments. With a heavy monthly duty cycle of 200,000 prints and document finishing options available, the C820dn/821dn should be ideal for companies producing in-house marketing material and looking to save on outsourced print costs.
