Brother has launched the replacement for its mono multifunction printer, the DCP-8085DN, which replaces the earlier DCP-8080DN. The DCP-8085DN comes with automatic duplex printing standard and maximum print and copy speeds of 30 pages per minute.
The USB direct interface enables direct printing of JPEG and PDF direct from a USB flash memory drive. Printing and copying are in mono, while scanning is available in colour and mono at up to 600 x 2400dpi resolution, with the flexibility of scanning to FTB, USB, network, e-mail, OCR or file.
The DCP-8085DN comes with a 250-sheet paper tray and a 50-sheet bypass tray as standard, with the option of an additional 250-sheet paper tray. Duplex copying and scanning are standard, with multi-copy stack and sort available for up to 99 copies of each page. A 50-sheet automatic document feeder also comes as standard to ensure rapid processing of larger scan and copy jobs.
The printer driver includes the N-up feature, which enables multiple documents to be printed on a single sheet and, along with the automatic duplexer, can save paper and reduce printing costs. The DCP-8085DN’s range of features, including Ethernet connectivity, should make it an ideal tool for small but busy workgroups.
