Here at Printware we are always keeping up to date with the latest technology and innovations. This month we’re very excited to be introducing HP’s new PageWide Technology.
HP are always pushing the boundaries of innovation and this time have come up with an entire new category of printing. Not only is there InkJet and LaserJet, but now they have given us PageWide.
PageWide Technology challenges the limits and tradeoffs of conventional printing, allowing buinesses to reach new levels of performance. With this new technology, HP have improved their performance in every way - more productive, using less energy, more efficient and with less cost.
The printhead in a traditional inkjet printer scans the page in horizontal lines, using the printer's motor assembly to move it from left to right, but the printhead in an HP PageWide Printer is just that - page-wide. It is commonly expected that if you need to print faster, then you should expect lower quality; if you need the highest quality, then you must accept lower productivity. By moving only the paper under a page-wide, stationary printhead, HP PageWide Technology not only gives speed and quality together, but lower costs and higher energy efficiency.
Both the HP PageWide Pro 452dw and the HP PageWide Pro 477dw produce a first page in 6.5 seconds for mono and 7 seconds for colour, and this is combined with a print speed of up to 55 pages per minute.
They also use high capacity cartridges which produce up to 10,000 pages for mono, and 7,000 pages for colour which means the HP Pagewide Pro series delivers the lowest total cost of ownership and fastest speeds in its class.
