So, what are the benefits of buying an A3 printer instead of an A4 device? Leaving aside the most obvious difference for the moment, let’s have a look at some of the advantages of A3 printers.
- They're faster. A3 printers have faster, more powerful print engines, so will get through your A4 print jobs more quickly than an A4 printer.
- The cartridges last longer. A3 printers are designed for larger print runs so tend to use higher capacity toners, which need replacing less frequently and therefore reduce printer downtime.
- They have a higher duty cycle. Because they're designed for a bigger workload, A3 printers can handle a much heavier duty cycle than A4 printers – ideal for busy workgroups.
- They can produce bigger prints. Of course. But you don’t need A3 prints and you're happy with your A4 printer. Just how can investing in an A3 printer benefit your business?
As it happens, using an A3 printer can have a significant positive effect on how your business is perceived by potential clients. Printer manufacturer Brother recently commissioned psychologist, Professor Richard Wiseman to find out just how much difference A3 printing can make to small businesses. It's not surprising that larger printed materials have more of a visual impact but you may be surprised how much they can affect customers' perceptions of your business.
Professor Wiseman found that small businesses appear 13% more professional, 21% more successful and 12% bigger when using A3 visuals, compared with using A4. Furthermore, he found that customers are 18% more likely to buy from a company using A3, as opposed to A4, printed materials. So, if you're producing marketing and promotional material for customers and potential customers, investing in an A3 printer really can give your business a boost.
