Back in June a team from Printware took part in the South Downs Dash to raise money for Dreams Come True. Walking 40 miles across the Downs, the team braved blisters, cramps and the unpredictable British weather to bring some joy to the lives of terminally and seriously ill children. A team from Printware will be making the arduous drive from Wimborne in Dorset to Loch Lomond in the west of Scotland to raise money for charity. Julia's House, which cares for children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, is having to cut back on the services it provides so the organisers of the Air and a Prayer Rally are trying to raise much-needed funds to keep it open. Rain forest charity Cool Earth celebrates its fifth birthday on May 31st. When it was founded in 2007, the target was to protect a relatively modest 5,000 acres of forest. Five years later, Cool Earth has ensured that a staggering 2.5 million acres is safe from illegal logging. Back in July, Printware teamed up with rain forest charity Cool Earth and pledged to donate £1 for every printer sold to help secure vital areas of South American rain forest for future generations.
