Kodak has just become the latest manufacturer to launch a printing app for the iPhone, following HP and Canon. The Pic Flick App allows images from the iPhone or iPod touch to be printed wirelessly to the Kodak ESP 5250 or uploaded to the W1020 wireless digital frame.
Pic Flick continues the recent trend for making printing photos easier and more fun and, just as importantly, can be downloaded for free from the Apple iTunes apps store. The process couldn’t be simpler – to share a picture, simply open the app on your iPhone or iPod Touch, select the photo you want, then select the device you want to send it to and press “send”. Pic Flick will automatically find and remember Kodak devices on a local network and you can choose to send images to your printer, your digital frame or both simultaneously.
To download, just search for “Pic Flick” in the App store on your iPhone or iPod. Even after two years, anything to do with the iPhone is pretty much guaranteed to grab people’s attention so we fully expect to see more printing apps soon. Kodak and Canon want to make printing more fun and who are we to argue? Lexmark, Brother and Epson – take note.
