Printware News

Brother has been busy lately with a plethora of new printers on the market (Brother MFC-9120CN and MFC-9320CW Make Their Debut) and they’re keeping up the activity with the launch of two new colour printers. The HL-3040CN and HL-3070CW come in at the cheap and cheerful end of the range and, like their multifunction brethren, they come with a handful of useful features.
Both printers include the Colour Restrict and Secure Print software, plus paper- and energy-saving features like N-up printing and Auto Reduction. As you might guess from the “W” at the end of its name, the HL-3070CW also has wireless connectivity as standard. The HL-3070CW is one of only three wireless colour laser printers under £250 on the Printware website. The other two are the Samsung CLP-315W which is £70 cheaper but much slower in colour and more expensive to run and the CLX-3175FW which is essentially the multifunction version of the CLP-315W. Although Wi-Fi printers are becoming more common, most of these are inkjet devices so the choice of wireless laser printers is still limited. For anyone looking for wireless laser printing on a budget, the HL-3070CW has got to be at least a serious contender.
