| Question |
|
|
|
does the above printer come with a usb cable or do these have to be purchased separately?
Our Comment:
As most printers have more than one connection method it's very rare for the manufacturer to include cables in the box. The Samsung ML-2855ND isn't supplied with a connection cable, just a power cable. We have a list of suitable cables for the ML-2855ND on this page just below where you can see the toner options.
Thanks for your question.

|
is a toner included with this printer?
Our Comment:
The ML-2855 is shipped with a full standard-yield toner cartridge in the box - this should provide you with around 2,000 pages.
Thank you for your question.

A super little printer, fast print speed with proper built in duplex, not take the paper out and put it back in like some printers. PS and PCL emulations onboard and USB/network connect make this an ideal home/small office printer. I have yet to find out how well the toner lasts but if the ML-2855ND is as good as the 11 year old ML-6050 it replaces I will be happy.
Our Comment:
Thanks for taking the time to write a review on your new Samsung ML-2855ND. We only show "duplex" within the key features of a printer if the device has a built-in automatic duplex unit, so you can be sure that you won’t need to manually turn the paper to print on the reverse side when we say a printer is equipped with duplex. Thanks again for taking the time to write a review on your new Samsung laser printer.

Is this compatible with the windows 7 32 & 64 bit operating system?
Our Comment:
Hi Joe, thanks for your question. The Samsung ML2855ND is fully compatible with both versions of Windows 7 although it's unlikely the disc supplied with the printer will have the correct drivers on it – you can however download the latest Windows 7 drivers from the Samsung website.

We purchased this when we discovered how much it would cost to replace the faulty formatter board on a HP2015 (a known issue with some production runs of this printer). This machine never really needed to offer print services to any more than 4 -8 users at a time. Hence, we weren't looking for anything expensive.
The trouble we were having was identifying a manufacturer that didn't pretend Linux didn't exist and therefore offered proper drivers and support for all OSs.
We were delighted to find the Samsung ML2855 series. The consumables are reasonable, the printer is well built and very, very easy to setup. Moreoever, we were very pleased with Samsung's Unified Driver Framework for Linux.
If you're looking for a solid, cheap-to-run, small workgroup machine that has broad OS support, this is a sensible buy. We have since purchased a second from Printware!

Bought the Samsung ML-2855ND to replace my ageing Lexmark and save on running costs. Fast delivery and good service from Printware. The printer is easy to configure on my network and certainly prints very quickly so I am very happy with it
