Is giving excellent service 2 years on; very good copies, simple to change toner cartridges and recycle. Difficulty obtaining toner sometimes; seems very expensive. Some cartridges give out-of-date warning almost from the beginning but work perfectly. Often signals an electrical fault which disappears when covers simply open and closed. Copy 'shelf' snapped on minimal trauma.

I love the integrated drum/toner as my older printers ended up getting clogged with toner - this one is clean as a whistle after around 15,000 pages. Quiet, small footprint. I sometimes get skid marks from the roller of the multipurpose tray (wish they'd used a different plastic) I'll be buying exactly the same thing again next time.

I have managed to use this printer on a couple of occasions, and I must admit that the results were as good as I would have expected from Canon. However, the Canon customer survice and the printer software is abysmal. This is supposed to be a modern printer, but Canon do not have a 64bit Driver for the Printer. My desktop is now 64 bit, and this is the only hardware I have that will not work with it. I loaded the 32 bit software onto my laptop, but there is a conflict that I am unable to resolve. Occasionally the printer will work, but mostly it doesn't. It sits in the corner of my office gathering dust. I shall probably sell the junk and buy a real printer that works, BUT NOT FROM CANON, they have not answered one of my emails regardless of how they have been sent. They are obviously unable to keep up with the move to 64 bit PC's and laptops, so don't buy their junk!!
