Good value, OS X scanner niggle |

Good value for money - colour laser, scanner, copier and fax for the price of a mono laser a few years ago. Pretty small footprint, although it weighs 26kg! Print quality is good, although black and white text could be sharper (might be solved by using better quality paper). Colour printing is impressive, photo printing not bad at all for a laser.
My only niggle is that I was not able to get the OS X scanner driver to work over ethernet, only USB.

Not a good replacement for the tried and trusted CX11NF |

Bought as a replacement for a much loved CX11NF, as that has been discontinued, the CX16NF is clearly targeted at a "cheaper" market segment, build quality and driver support poorer than its predecessor and it is also more expensive to run.
At printware's excellently discounted price it is still a good printer, but at anywhere much beyond this its a poor cousin of the CX11NF it tries to replace.

Good, fast, economic printer with reasonable print quality |

We bought this printer as it seemed to tick all the boxes, fast, reliable, very competitively priced although a heft price tag on the consumables. We only have a very low volume printing requirement but appreciate all the other functions, fax (not tried yet), scanning and foremost copying. Easy to use although the CDrom manual is lacking a little user friendliness. A clearer quick guide to start would be really useful. Also very vague on the duplexing so not used yet.
