Does this printer come with toner and, if so, what size cartridges?

The Ricoh SP C220 ships with a starter-set of toners. These will last for 1,000 pages, based on 5% coverage.

Ordered at around 4:15pm. Arrived at 13:30 the following day. Less than 22 hour delivery! Arrived OK with a couple of small dings to the box but contents fine. Prints very well indeed. Photos are good enough to frame and hang on the wall. They look great at normal viewing distances (arms length or greater)with skin tones looking accurate. I didn't buy it to print photos so this is a bonus. B&W text looks the same on all modes (Fine, Std and Speed)which is crisp and clear. Std images are great, speed colour images are very slightly degraded but not significantly. It's a shame that any pre-purchase samples you get from this are PDF's as they don't do the print quality justice. A bit noisy when it starts up but goes quiet very quickly. Consumables are cheaper per print than most others due to cartridge being good for 2000 pages rather than 1000. Quite heavy and network ready for all to use. Can you tell I'm pleased with this?

Works well, quick to print and quality is better than a cheap inkjet. Photo's aren't bad either.

WOW what a steal, this is fantansic value for money. Great laser quality prints. This was just what i was looking for.

The printer is now fine. During the first few days of operation it failed to function. After many calls on the telphone we were advised to go to "TGR" service. They never came!!!! With some persistance on my ppart i established that the software had become corrupted. By reinstalling with the disk we were able to start again without further incedent. I suggest you review your service arrangements.

Ricoh use third-party companies to carry out warranty repairs on their laser printers, and this is the first time we've heard of this system not working so thank you for bringing this to our attention – we will certainly be forwarding your comments on to Ricoh for their consideration.

At this present moment in time, Printware don't have the ability to offer warranties or service options on Ricoh printers; it's one of the few brands we don't have the credentials for. We're working on it, so watch this space and we'll be delighted to extend our 5-hour average on-site response time to Ricoh customers.

Setup was a nightmare. The supplied CD didn't work and nor did the downloads. On the plus side, the Printware support guy was very friendly and patient, which was good because it took an hour on the phone to complete. Once done, the printer is a bit slow to fire up and also a little noisier than I expected but this is outweighed by the superb quality of the output. Good crisp B&W prints and the colour on laser photo paper my son and I actually prefer to the prints from my quality inkjet! Overall well pleased.
