I haven't finished the first ink cartridge yet but I do like this printer. However, it is a bit slow preparing a print preview. Also, I miss the ability to delete pages in the preview window,which I had on my previous printer.

Smooth running; good quality print; easily collapsible finish tray. Quieter than 5000 series. overall appearance is more professional

The printer takes a while to initialise after switching on, with a lot of clattering noises. However, once initialised it prints fairly fast with excellent colour reproduction. My biggest problem was in setting it up with a USB cable. Every time I went through the setting-up process it would tell me that it was not connected. After a great deal of emails to HP Support, followed by an hour-long phone call from their call centre, they eventually decided that my computer was not compatible with the USB set-up and they sent me an ethernet cable free of charge. On connecting this the printer worked first time and has been fine ever since. Overall, I am very pleased with the printer and received excellent service from HP support.
