First of all, the purchase and delivery were very efficient. The printer was easy to set up on my iMac. I got it for doing graphics as well as photos, and largely, it's done fairly well. For an A3 inkjet, it's fairly speedy. Print quality can vary though: photo images tend to look washed out when compared with those on screen. However, blacks are very solid on graphic work, typography etc, although some banding is discernable on some substrates. A difficulty is finding a suitable printing paper. I experimented with several different papers ranging from gloss photo paper to ordinary lightweight multi-function paper. Photo images with heavy colour use are not advisable on the relatively lightweight multi-function paper, as there is obviously soak-through, but it works fine for graphics and text if a draft result is all you want. At the other end of the paper range, the colours are richer, and solid blacks can be obtained, but I found that black text and graphics on gloss photo paper are prone to abrade off. I then ordered some Canon High-Resolution paper, but so far, results are quite disappointing, tending to be rather washed out. I have been used to using Epson printers at my workplace and have not yet achieved as good a result on the Canon. It's early days and it may be that some adjustment, or just increased usage, is needed. Without really having had time to judge it properly, I would give it benefit of the doubt and score it about 7 very good.

Impressive build quality and design, but a bit disappointing in use. I printed the same document on my HP 2575, (with Jet tech inks) and the images were sharper and more vivid. The HP was also much faster. Fit to page was better on the Canon, giving images a bit bigger. The document was text and photo, on plain paper. Haven't yet compared results with photo paper

I received the printer and in no time at all had it up and working, the A3 prints done so far are outstanding I love this printer and think its just as good as more expensive printers. Thank you for your excellent service and I must say the price was much better than most.
