The speed and print quality of this machine is fine, but it causes MS Office 2007 (XP & Vista) to crash. MS & HP have produced a work around which involves installing a phantom printer as default! This seems to allow Office to run but is a pain. Such basic compatibility issues should have been dealt with before release.

Print quality isgood, but don't buy if you use Office 2007. There are compatibility problems with the driver which causes constant crashes. MS error reporting proposes a 'temporary' workaround which involves installing a phantom printer as default and switching to the HP whenever you want to print something. Also, I hate being bombarded withconstant adverts from the web site. I have now managed to turn these off, but suspect this has also turned off notification when/if a new driver is available.
