Alas it was time to say goodbye to my old and faithfull Epson Stylus CX6600. And hello to my brand new Workforce Pro ( the catch for me was in the name ), which implies for me a good solid workhorse of a machine that will consistently 'do the business'. So far it has lived up to my expectations. I wonder now why I put up for so long,with the failings and vagaries of 'old failthful'. I'm not a 'techy type', but this machine delivers all that I want ie, quick, clean and crisp printing and scanning. I have no use at present for the Fax facility so cannot comment on that. I am happy with this purchase.

I bought it as a professional-quality home-use printer. The printing quality is very good, certainly enough for typical office use, but still a little lag behind some HP and Xerox laser printers I used. Fast, but a bit noisy when printing. Wish the page margins can be smaller. The front paper collecting tray doesn't feel strong. 2-side scanning/printing is a very welcome feature.

This is an excellent product, one problem in setting up; it needs an Epson Fax/Phone cable. I tried a number of different cables (over 48 hours) trying to get the fax working and eventually called Epson. An engineer called and said, “I bet it’s the fax cable, we get a lot of problems with these”. He came out, fitted an Epson cable since then, no problems.Please suggest one of these when selling this printer.

After reading good reviews about this printer I decided to purchase one to replace a small colour lazer printer. I made a good choice. This printer is fast with good quality printouts. My old stand alone scanner used to take minutes to warm up and scan, this workstation takes only seconds. Double sided printing is a breeze and the ink cartridges are so simple to change. The workstation also does copying which is great as I no longer have to scan the document to computer first. Another great feature of the Epson is it can be registered for its own email address which allows you to send documents to it from any computer. A great machine and a good buy.
