does this come with any ink or do i need to buy some with the printer?

The Lexmark X544n comes complete with a set of introductory cartridges, these will provide approximately 2,000 colour pages, and 2,500 black pages.

The X544dn, X544dw and X544dtn ship with slightly larger toners in the box - on these models you should be able to print approximately 3,000 colour pages and 4,000 black pages.

The page yields are based on coverage amounts of 5% so depending on what you're printing you will find that the page yields will vary accordingly. Thanks for your question.

An excellent laser all in one unit with duplex printing. It does everything you might need from a small office printer. I'm most impressed when it prints both sides of a sheet of paper simultaniously!

Just a quick note to other customers reading this review; the duplex function that Peter has referred to is not available on the X544N but is standard on all other models within this range.

I selected this model for its impressive print speed and compatibility with Apple Mac OSX. I was disappointed to find it took 2 minutes to print a Web page! Reported this to Lexmark who took 5 months to send a new driver. The printer developed a firmware fault when it was 2 weeks old. Lexmark were quick to replace it. The replacement printer developed a fuser fault after 7 months and it took two engineers about 3 hours over 2 days to fit the new fuser. I have to say however it gives excellent quality printouts. Cartridge change is easy and clean unlike some colour lasers I have had previously.

Best printer I've ever had! Excellent quality and very versatile.

Received my product within 48 hours of ordering. Has been working like a champ since. I assure any future buyers; Printware are in it to win it! A tremendous organization.
