The printer simply cannot handle large or complex documents. I regularly have to print .pdf files of 8 to 20 pages, and every time, it starts printing rubbish half way through. I often have to print a couple of pages at a time, and even then, printing can be problematic. The machine will also not, apparently, scan to a stand alone computer. One has to use a flash card as am intermediary. Printing Word documents and photocopying, and also faxing are fine. Complex printing and scanning - forget it.

It sounds like a PostScript error from what you've said. It's worth calling the Tech Support line on 0870 733 7100 to get this confirmed. Whatever it is it's certainly not normal and an engineer can be on site the next day to repair if needed.
