Printer paper trays hold the paper you print on. Paper is pulled, or fed, from the paper tray up into the printing area of your printer. Paper trays come in various shapes and sizes to incorporate different sizes and weights of paper - many trays are even adjustable paper trays so you may not always need as many extra trays as you may think. Whether you're printing on post cards or banner paper - there's a tray for you. The paper tray also varies in the amount of paper it can hold. Some paper cassettes will only hold 100 sheets of paper, others will take 4,000. Each paper tray takes different thicknesses of paper and some take a variety of paper weights. For thick card you may need to use the multi-purpose tray (also known as feed from tray 1, MPT, manual-feed tray, bypass tray) but for normal office paper you have the high-capacity feeder options to save you the hassle of refilling your paper cassette too often.
