This printer is by far the best printer I have ever owned.
It was a bit of a pig to install, my advice is to install as a USB printer, get it up and running then re-install as wireless.
The print quality is the equivalent of lab quality. Using proper paper and proper ink you literally cannot tell the difference.
Scan quality is perfect, and all functions can be used via wifi, unlike some of the older canon multifunction printers.
Inks are slightly more expensive than others, but it's worth the extra £1 or so for the quality.
Touch panel buttons are very sensitive, but after a fiddle you soon get used to the sensitivity. CD print tray is also a bonus, this gives you very professional results.
The printer also looks the part, very sleek lines and good looking piece of kit. The iphone/smartphone printing facility is a bonus too, and works really well.
Service from printware was second to none; after solving a supply issue that was no fault of printware, this printer was delivered within 24 hours of ordering. A+++

This is my third Canon printer and I must say that Canon just keeps on improving. In the past I have had both Epson and HP printers but for me Canon is the best!
It is very simple to install and intuitve to use.
For anyone who needs the facility to scan items other than flat paper it is great. I make bead jewellery and often need to scan an item made up of quite large beads, this scanner copes well with that and the whole item is in focus. The scanner can also scan 35mm slides and film. The plastic holder for this is contained within the scanner lid beneath the white scanner background. I had to phone Canon to discover this!
The quality of printing is also very good and so far despite over 3 weeks of fairly heavy use I am still on the original ink cartridges.
Overall I am very pleased.

I received the printer within 2 days of ordering it - delivered in excellent order. The instructions to set upthe prnter were clear and easy to follow - and the printer worked perfectly by WiFi connection both from my laptop and the App on my iPhone. Thhe quality of the print is good but it is not as a god as a laser printer (obviously). I currently have the printer at my London work address and will eventually take it home and connect it to our home network.
