OKI MB470 Mono MFP Printer

Perfect for small workgroups, the OKI MB470 mono multifunction LED printer which can print, copy, colour scan and fax. The OKI MB470 is capable of meeting the demands of the office with PostScript 3 emulation and true 1,200x1,200 dpi resolution.

Included with the OKI MB470 is a number of powerful utilities that helps you get the most out of the MFP printer. Nuance PaperPort and OmniPage streamlines all the electronic distribution of data so that file sharing, document handling and file sharing is made easy.

The OKI MB470 ships with a starter toner that can print 1,500 pages at 5% coverage. The toners available for the OKI MB470 are standard capacity toners that print 3,500 pages at 5% coverage and a higher capacity toner that can print 7,000 pages at 5% coverage.

The cost per copy is generated using all consumables, not just the toners and is based on our current sell prices. In the case of the colour printers we have split the coverage between all colours.

Positives

Produces good quality prints and good quality scans using both the document feeder and the flat bed scanner. Paperport software provided with the printer allows scanning, editing and saving documents as PDF files allowing effective convertion of hard copy multipage documents to soft copies for storage and sending by email to others. Very useful feature.

Negatives

Crushes some envelopes when printing and poor stacking of printed pages. Software allowing network scanning is difficult to use with DHCP as it relies on the same IP address each time for the printer and the PC controlling it. Works best with the device connected via USB. Doesnt scan to mac. Did not work when it arrived and they had to send an engineer - works fine now.

Overall quite a good value MF printer with a good quality printout and a long guarantee period. Would probably recommend with some reservations about its paper handling and network software
