Have had the CX21 for 5 months with mixed results. Printing is very good, even photos are very good quality, though probably not up to the best of the inkjets. Annoying though is a fault that comes up (Service Err 511) which a web search reveals is common to many Epson printers and has been around for years. It necessitates cleaning or manipulating a belt on the photo conductor unit which is do-able but a pain that shouldn't exist on anew machine. Also, the black toner is running low after printing only 334 pages of which 251 were colour. So, on balance 6/10 is probably fair.

Bough two of these back two years ago, nothing but trouble since one year old, Epson just keep selling us useless warranties, have spent so much on the one printer might as well have bought a new one! Wont be buying another.

For a printer of this calibre I had hoped that it would be quicker and accept a fax transmission direct from the PC rather than having to print the fax out, then scan it in to send it. In these days of saving paper and ink, it seems a waste for what is really just a software issue. So far it performs well but rather slow. Can't get the extension phone to work from it - not sure what I am doing wrong there and trying to hook up a phone, fax line and separate answering machine was 'interesting' to say the least. Overall it prints well and does what it says on the tin.
