The duty cycle of the Samsung CLP 610ND is 65,000 pages which is a lot for a machine of this price. Large print jobs will not slow down the Samsung CLP610ND as it has a 360Mhz processor and 128MB of memory. The print quality is excellent due to a resolution of up to 2,400 x 600 optimised.
The capacity of the main paper tray is 250 sheets and the mulitpurpose tray is 100 sheets. The multipurpose tray is handy for printing on envelopes, labels and card. It possible to buy an additional second paper tray which holds an additional 500 sheets.
The Samsung CLP 610ND ships with standard 2,000 page toner cartridges. It would be sensible to buy an additional set of toners with the printer for when the toners that ship run out.
Included in the software with the Samsung CLP 610ND is i-ATOS. I-ATOS is a piece of software that monitors the amount of toner remaining in the Samsung CLP 610 and pops up an alert on your computer signalling that the toner in the Samsung CLP 610ND is below a specified level, such as 10% or 20%. It can also be setup to email a manager when the toner is below a certain level.
Unlike many printers within the Samsung CLP 610ND range, the Samsung CLP 610ND only requires four consumables which are the four colour toners whereas other printers often have in addition to the colour toners a drum and a waste toner box. Having additional consumables can lead to more downtime.
Installation of the printer is a simple operation and the web console offers all the options to set everything the way you want, and you can also print out the configuration for future reference. It works with Linux with the use of a driver from Samsung support website.
As standard the Samsung CLP 610ND is network ready and is set to DHCP as it’s default setting so setup is easy. It also has an automatic duplex unit for two sided printing which is a big saving on paper and the environment when used.

The cost per copy is generated using all consumables, not just the toners and is based on our current sell prices. In the case of the colour printers we have split the coverage between all colours.
