Question
  • Question by:
  • Silvio

Hello there, can you please tell me if the Printer will come with any cartridges installed at time of purchase? and if any, what capacity are they?

Our Comment:

The Ricoh SP C232SF ships with a complete set of introductory toners in the box. These should provide around 1,000 pages (based on a coverage amount of 5% per page).

Thank you for your question.

Far too complicated to actually use other than for printing. Instruction manual may be OK if you have a phd, otherwise forget it. One of the worst buys I have made!

Review the best throw away printer

Nice printer but with the cost of the ink we have worked out it is better for us to but 10 of these printers and when the free ink supplied with each one is used up, to throw the whole printer away and buy a new one. Moral of the story donąt believe the info regarding no of copies necessarily applies to you!!

Our Comment:

Thanks for your comments. It’s worth noting that the hi cap toners that you buy print 6,000 pages at 5% coverage each whereas the toners that are supplied with the printer only print 1,000 pages at 5% coverage each. Good thinking about buying 10 printers but it would cost you dearly, and the environment too!

I bought this after researching at least 50+ printers. You will not find a lower cost per copy from any similar priced or indeed up to double the price printer

I have only used the print and copy functions so far and the machine is very reliable if a little slow to get started, with excellent results. It survived a computer upgrade to Windows 7 with no problems. The only criticism so far is trying to follow the manual with regard to setting up the scanner function. It's written in English but not as I know it. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I love these all-in-one printers. After supplying them to 2 different small business clients (25 users and 10 users), we bought one for our own office. The automatic document feeder is quick and reliable and can copy large two-sided documents in duplex mode automatically (although it seems to only work in colour, not mono, which is weird - more testing needed). I love the one-button scanning to the network too (e.g. a pre-defined folder on your PC or server) - very fast and easy to use. It's worth noting that this printer is surprisingly heavy when it arrives but subsequently easy to unpack, connect and configure. We have it running on Windows 7, Vista, XP, Small Business Server 2003 and even a remote Windows 2003 terminal server. If you buy one, check the power-saving settings as it goes into standby very quickly and then has to go through the warm-up process before it can print again - possibly using more electricity than it actually saved!

Very happy with the photocopier/printer.

No problems as yet.

We've registered online with Ricoh and are awaiting the £70 rebate.

I work in the IT Support industry so have come across many printers. I'm very happy with my recent purchase for my office, I'm using all functionality especially Print and Scan to my Server. It looks great, works great and was quick & easy to setup. My only criticism of this printer is when Duplex Printing it's print speed is a little slow compared to my previous printer which was a HP CLJ3800dn it's warm up speed is also a little on the slow side, I just have to me more patient!!!

Works well, does all that it needs to, only criticism is speed of first page to print is a bit slow. Printing lots of single page letters this can be frustrating but when you print a multi-page document it is nice and fast.
