The Espon was a replacement for an HP multi-function that stopped working a day after I'd bought £50 worth of what turns out to be obsolete ink.

The Epson unpacked and installed easily, being much neater than the old HP.

The drivers installed without a problem on several PC's, all of which were able to print and scan immediately.

Scan functionality is good, and being able to fax direct from a PC will prove useful.

As a small business owner, I bought this as a replacement for a Canon Pixma multifunction which was encountering ever-increasing paper jams and printing pages out of alignment. After a week of using it, I am very pleased. It is quieter and quicker than the old Canon. Faxing is wonderfully quick and efficient. Printing speeds are excellent for pages with mixed text and images. I particularly like the bottom loading tray, so no more paper jams from paper being misaligned vertically. It's also a very compact machine and sits neatly alongside other equipment. The only downside is that the screen could have been touch-screen as to dispense with the number of buttons on the front panel: some may find the array of these overwhelming. As a technical person, I had no problem using them right away. Easy to set up and install on Windows 7 with the CD - I installed the drivers only as I don't need the extra software. Very pleased and highly recommended for a home business or small office.
